An attack by two Staffordshire Bull Terriers in which another dog died has again raised concerns around the Terrington St Clement area, say police.

Officers today, Friday July 29, said they were “aware of concerns circulating in the Terrington St Clement area regarding incidents involving dogs.”

The first incident happened in May 2016 in Churchgate during which a dog was injured by another. The dog owner in question was spoken to and the situation has been resolved.

The most recent incident happened on Monday July 18 in Church Bank. Police are investigating reports that a small dog was attacked by two Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Sadly the small dog died following the incident.

Officers are keen to trace the owner of the Staffordshire Bull Terriers and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101.

Officers do not believe the two incidents are linked; however, they have been conducting reassurance patrols in the area and speaking to local dog walkers.
