A Good Samaritan in his 40s was targeted in an attempted robbery after he stopped to help a person apparently injured and lying on the side of the road near the Emneth turning on the A1101 at Outwell.

It happened last Monday at around 11.15pm.

The victim got out of the car but as he approached, the person on the floor grabbed him and demanded his wallet and watch.

The victim was then grabbed from behind by a second man.

The victim managed to fight off the suspects and they ran away across some fields.

The victim suffered a cut to his arm, although Norfolk
police do not believe any weapon was used during the incident.

PC Larissa Foreman said: “This incident happened late at night and at a very isolated location; however, I would be keen to hear from anyone who may have seen two men walking along the A1101 or in that area prior to the incident.

n Anyone with information about this incident should contact PC Larissa Foreman on 101 (calls cost 15p).
