Barclays is holding a fraud awareness event at its Hunstanton branch.
The bank’s staff plus police and trading standards officers will also be on hand to advise on safe banking and measures which can be taken to avoid becoming victims of fraudsters.
Nicola Biggs, Police Community Support Officer said: “This is a great opportunity for local residents to learn about a number of scams currently operating in the county and take sensible, yet simple, measures to help themselves avoid becoming victims of such crime.” It is hoped those attending will spread the word to family and friends.
The event takes place on Thursday, September 17, from 10am to 1pm. Refreshments will be provided by Barclays and there will be leaflets to take away. Anyone is welcome to attend.
