A Southery man has admitted growing cannabis plants for medicinal purposes.

Jonathan Darby, 44, of Mill Lane, produced four plants to provide him with “pain relief”, Lynn magistrates were told on Friday. He also admitted possessing 4.96 grams of the class B drug after police searched his home on February 19, plus a further charge of driving without a licence.

Sentencing was adjourned until March 17. Darby is on unconditional bail until then.
