From American footballers to bubbles and some clowning around, Celebrate King’s Lynn had plenty to entertain the crowds in The Walks on Saturday.
Organisers were thrilled the rain held off long enough for families to join in a day of free fun in the centre of Lynn thanks t0 Celebrate King’s Lynn in partnership with Churches Together.
Organiser Alison Hill said: “A number of churches worked together to bless the people of Lynn with this free event.
“It’s been a year in the planning and I want to thank everyone who has been involved in making it happen, especially to Olivia O’Neill and Maarten Klem.”
Throughout the day, families could enjoy mini-Olympics, games, face-painting, flash mobs and a full day of music from local acts. Everything was free and organisers hope to hold the event again.
Nicky Robinson was running the Messy Church stall for St John’s Church, where youngsters could enjoy getting their faces painted and their hands dirty with the paints.
She said: “It’s a lot of fun and great to see the whole community getting together.”
