Charity cycle challenge from Bedingfeld to Bordeaux

Four friends will be starting a cycling challenge near Lynn today from Oxborough, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Team-mates Marcus Fountaine, Tom De Lotbiniere, Felix Parker and Rowley Barclay are taking on this unique nine- day 700-mile challenge by cycling from the Bedingfeld Arms, to the city of Bordeaux in France.

Fully fuelled on the country pub’s breakfast, they will embark on a 36 hour cycle across England to Portsmouth.

The charity is close to all four participants and the four friends are very much looking forward to their adventure, hoping it becomes an annual event raising money for a worthwhile cause.

Felix Parker said: “Unfortunately I lost my uncle to cancer two years ago and it came as a huge shock to our family.”

Marcus said: “My dad lost his battle with leukaemia 15 years ago.”
