King’s Lynn Noise and Chance School of Dance sets barre high for ballet students in new programme to be held at Duke’s Head Hotel ballroom
A chance for ballet lessons being offered by a dance school will take place in a ballroom setting in Lynn town centre.
Noise and Chance School of Dance owner, Trina Lee, will be offering Royal Ballet lessons at the Duke’s Head Hotel on Tuesday Market Place, with classes starting this September.
The Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training and Assessment Programme (ATAP) launched in 2022, and the dance school owner is thrilled to be one of the first 50 schools worldwide able to offer the programme.
Miss Lee was one of a small number of teachers chosen worldwide to train as an affiliate teacher with the Royal Ballet School in London’s Covent Garden.
This is a unique training programme for children and is rooted in the Royal Ballet School's ethos and expertise.
ATAP provides a unique training programme which values the process of learning.
Student assessments are moderated and certificates will be issued by them when the required standard of each level has been achieved by the student.
Students who engage in the ATAP programme will gain a love and knowledge of the art form as a whole as well as a solid technical foundation in ballet.
Miss Lee said: " I cannot wait to launch this as a permanent programme within our existing timetable.
“The children have responded to it in such a positive way.”
