Voters will go to the polls next month to have their say on community leaders' vision for the future development of a West Norfolk village.

A neighbourhood plan has been developed for the parish of Snettisham and needs to be approved by its residents in a referendum before it can be adopted.

The document sets out how the village wants to accommodate new homes and businesses in the future.

If it is approved by residents, the plan must be taken into account when subsequent planning applications are assessed.

The vote has now been arranged for Thursday, November 29, when a polling station will be open at the Memorial Hall, on Old Church Road, between 7am and 10pm.

West Norfolk Council officials say anyone who is not already registered to vote must do so by Tuesday, November 13, if they want to participate in the referendum.
