Chocolate eggs and bunnies weren’t the only things on the minds of a handful of Ryston Runners over the weekend.
Half a dozen ventured over Norwich way for the Trowse 10k on Sunday and enjoyed far better conditions than last year, though the hill was just as challenging.
Jill Davis confirmed her status as one of the best W60 runners in the county with a clear category win in 50:58.
Danny Rock was first Ryston across the line in 8th place overall in 36:03.
Other results: Phil Twite 48th with 40:16; Lorena Latisaite, returning well from a lay-off , 44:45 in 137th; Jo Brooks (54:02); and Sue Smith (68:25).
Sue Naylor opted for a 20-miler, taking just over four hours to complete four laps of the lake at Eaton Dorney, the venue for the 2012 Olympic regatta.
She described conditions as “a perfect temperature for distance running.”
Ed Borrmann won the Chelmsford Pole Vault festival on Saturday, clearing 4 m 20.
