Dolphin found dead at Wild Ken Hill mudflats in Snettisham - making it third deceased cetacean discovered there in recent months

A dolphin has washed up on mudflats in West Norfolk.

For the third time in the last few months, a marine mammal has been found dead on the shore at Wild Ken Hill in Snettisham.

The common male dolphin was first reported on Saturday but, due to its location, it was unable to be easily accessed.

Later on, a worker headed out with a drone to get a closer look and take some photos.

On Facebook, the reserve said: “Whilst it is never nice to see these magnificent creatures washed up, they will quickly provide a huge boost to the food chain both above and within the water, as they complete the circle of life.”

The dolphin is not the only cetacean to have been discovered dead on the site, as recently a long-finned pilot whale and a harbour porpoise were also found.
