King’s Lynn Queen Elizabeth Hosital Team QEH Awards deadline extended for nominations
The nomination date for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Team QEH Awards has been extended - and the new deadline to place an entry is Sunday.
This year, all categories are open for public nominations, so this is an opportunity to nominate an individual or team to be recognised for the fantastic work they do by a patient or perhaps a relative who has seen the great care the hospital delivers.
Alice Webster, chief executive officer, QEH, said “These awards mean so much to our staff.
“I know that hearing first hand from patients or their loved ones about the great care they receive is the most rewarding feeling.
“Please do nominate if you have a team or individual that you feel deserves recognition.”
Linda Purdy, associate director of patient experience, received the Chair’s award last year, pictured above with the other winners, and she said: "I have no words.
“It is not very often I do not have words. I am so humbled. I am so lucky.
“I am passionate about patient experience and I am passionate about everything and the people I work with are just outstanding.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am.”
This year’s 11 award categories include exceptional quality of care, clinical team of the year award, the one to watch, kindness award, unsung hero, outstanding achievement in innovation and the wellness award.
