Homes and businesses in West Norfolk which were affected in the 2013 tidal surge are still able to apply for a grant to help protect their property from future flooding.
The Government has extended its deadline for applications from property owners to help install flood preventative measures.
Applications for the Repair and Renewal Grant can now be made up to March 31.
Residents and businesses are eligible to apply for grants of up to £5,000 per property to install measures such as flood boards or similar flood prevention measures.
West Norfolk Council’s cabinet member Elizabeth Nockolds said: “A lot of properties were affected by the high tide which hit west Norfolk on December 5, 2013. We have sent letters to all the properties that we are aware of, but we also know that many of these homes were second homes.
“The Government’s support scheme has been extended until March 31, so it is crucial that everyone who could benefit from some additional cash to help them install items such as flood boards, gets their application in as soon as possible.”
