Death of King's Lynn teenager: Man, 31, charged with GBH
Detectives investigating the death of a teenager in King’s Lynn have charged a man.
It follows an incident on Saddlebow Road, South Lynn, in the early hours of Sunday morning at about 3.30am when a 17-year-old male suffered serious head injuries following a fight in the street.
Liam Russell, 31, and of Metcalf Avenue, in Lynn, has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and remanded in police custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Weds) morning at 10am.
Following the victim’s death at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital earlier today, the current charge will be subject to review pending the results of a Home Office post-mortem examination which will be held in due course.
A 30-year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail pending further enquiries
