Death of woman whose body was found on Hunstanton beach not being treated as suspicious, police say

The death of a woman whose body was found on Hunstanton beach last week is not being treated as suspicious, police have today confirmed.

It comes after officers were called to Seagate Road at around 11.45pm on Friday when a member of the public reported finding the body on the sand, opposite the Sea Life Centre.

A cordon was put in place while initial enquiries were carried out, and the body was later recovered. The cordon was lifted at around 10am on Saturday morning.

On Monday, police said they were continuing to establish the circumstances of the woman’s death, which was being treated as unexplained.

After a post-mortem examination was carried out on Thursday, officers have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious and said a file will be passed to the coroner.
