Delays possible as police set to escort abnormal load from A47 at Terrington to Great Yarmouth




Drivers are being warned that they might face delays on the roads on Friday as an abnormal load is escorted through the county.

That is because a 5m wide rotary table that is 17.5m long and weighs 50,000kg will be moved from Sheffield to Great Yarmouth, via the A47 in West Norfolk.

The route will be as follows, starting at 9am on Friday:

A47 Cambridgeshire Border, Gapton Hall Road, Morton Peto Road and local roads to the site.

Norfolk Police will be escorting the abnormal load from the A47 at Terrington St John to Coastground, Morton Road on the Gapton Hall Industrial estate in Great Yarmouth.
