Hunstanton's The Norfolk Deli announces new exclusive cheese club with a difference

A delicatessen has announced a cheese club service with a difference, as it is for limited members only.

The Norfolk Deli is in the High Street in Hunstanton where a new food subscription has been launched, and it is all about cheese.

Mark Kacary, managing director, said: “Our new cheese subscription club is a limited membership service where unlike many other cheese subscriptions we will be limited to the number of subscribers.

“This is to ensure that small-batch artisan cheesemakers we work with can continue working as they do and are not overwhelmed with a demand to service hundreds, or thousands of deliveries each month, which is so often the case with many other well-known online cheese subscription services.”

“As a football and cheese lover I see many similarities in the way both are consumed.

“If I just want intermittent access to either I make occasional visits to a cheese monger or buy match-day tickets as and when I can.

"Whereas If I want regular access, I will subscribe to one of many cheese subscriptions which no dissimilar to buying a season ticket.

“What is different however is that this cheese subscription service will be more like a fan seeking the experience of watching the match in a private box. “The cheese we will be sourcing will be from cheese makers and dairies too small to satisfy the demands of larger suppliers.

“The experience our customers will get will be a little more exclusive. We want our service to be viewed as the private box of cheese subscription services.

“We want this service to succeed, but at the same time we recognise that the smaller the cheese producer the more inconsistent the supply.

“ Which is why we are capping membership and why we will operate a waiting list for those who miss out on membership before the cap is applied.”
