Developers to set out housing plan for old Hunstanton school site

Plans for a new housing development on a former West Norfolk school site are set to be outlined at a meeting tomorrow.

Developers have been invited to give a presentation to Hunstanton Town Council about their proposals for the site of the town's former Infant School in James Street.

The school merged with the old Redgate Junior to form the current Hunstanton Primary in 2015 and there have been some suggestions the buildings could have been used as a new library for the town.

Representatives of Torrington Properties, Lanpro Services and Gary Johns Architects have been invited to address the council at a meeting, which will take place over Zoom, from 6pm on Wednesday.

A town council spokesman said: "Residents in the surrounding area of the old infant school have received letters from Lanpro inviting them to the meeting.

"Members of the public are most welcome to attend."

Anyone who is interested in attending the meeting is asked to email clerk@hunstantontowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01485 532402 for joining details.
