The housebuilder is currently building at sites in Peterborough where it is based, Waterbeach, Terrington St Clement, Wootton and Farcet, but is looking to bolster its construction workforce as demand for new build properties grows.

Simon McDonald, managing director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said: “The region is no different to the rest of the UK where there is a growing demand for homes.

“To tackle this we have been expanding in these areas and to meet the demands we are looking to hire trainee construction workers and sales staff to join us.

“These are crucial positions within the company and that’s why a lot of emphasis is going into recruiting for these roles. So, as we enter exam results season I would advise any school-leavers looking to kick start their career in these trades to contact us at Persimmon Homes East Midlands and explore the opportunities for apprenticeships.”

For anyone interested in applying for a role with Persimmon Homes in the East Midlands they can write to the regional office in Commerce Road, Peterborough, PE2 6LR.
