Downham Market digger stolen but quickly recovered

A digger stolen in Downham yesterday was rapidly recovered by police.

The King's Lynn Police tweet reported last night that the digger was located and recovered in under four minutes of the 999 call being made.

The police said that one person had been detained and was in custody.

The picture with the tweet showed a CASE digger and bore the #OpMooshot which refers to the operation utilising mobile and fixed number-plate recognition cameras to keep an eye on vehicles of criminals coming in and out of the county.
