Do the conga at Hunstanton festival!
For the first time the Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts (HDFA) group collaborated with Lynn Council and Hunstanton Heritage Gardens to host its annual free music festival.
Around 700 people turned up to the Green on last Saturday, to see performances by groups including the Springwood Big Band, Sheringham Shantymen and the Fried Pirates.
Attendees were also able to enjoy a barbecue, provided by the Hunstanton Rotary club.
Many who were in attendance brought their own blankets and seating to help endure the cold weather and enjoy the variety of music on offer.
Organiser Ian Wells said: “Well done to everyone that came and made what was a fabulous day.”
He paid particular tribute to West Norfolk Council officer Roger Partridge who secured the location and PA system.
Mr Wells says without Mr Partridge’s support the event would have been very different.
The HDFA have been running their free folk festival in local venues since 2015.
HDFA have been encouraged to put on such local events by grants from organisations including the borough council.
