The Purfleet Trust have thanked The King’s Lynn Priory Rotary Club for their continued support following a generous donation of £500 towards their winter appeal.
The winter is a particularly challenging time for everyone, but for homeless and vulnerable people it could be life threatening.
Over the winter months, the Purfleet Trust provide additional support to those who are most vulnerable.
The Trust ensures everyone who needs help over the winter has access to their services, including hot food, a warm place to stay throughout the day and help to find suitable accommodation.
To achieve their objectives, the Purfleet Trust works with partners, including West Norfolk Council and local supported accommodation providers Genesis, to ensure there is access to housing for people who are sleeping on the streets.
In Lynn, there are currently have 11 people who we know to be sleeping on the streets at any one time.
The Trust work with around 80 people per day who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and need their support.
