New virtual reality gaming centre opens in King's Lynn
The doors to a new entertainment centre opened in Lynn on Saturday offering customers the chance to try some breathtaking experiences.
The Virtual Reality Entertainment Centre at Unit 7, Paxman Road, Hardwick Industrial Estate has been launched by Virtuam Ltd, owned by Jason Fey and his wife, Paula.
Said Jason: "People who came along to the opening to try out the simulators and games said they were very exciting and were looking forward to telling their friends about it and coming back.
"The simulators let people step into another world. It's very immersive. With the visual and audio stimulation, it gives people an adrenalin pump.
"These games and experiences make great entertainment for family and friends and it's a perfect idea for special occasions, such as a birthday celebration. We are now offering vouchers, for people to use as gifts."
The virtual reality experiences are divided into categories such as racing, extreme adrenalin sports, platform shooting games, flying and rollercoaster rides.
The VR Experiences offer adventures, such as flying over Paris as an eagle, racing down the slopes of a mountain in a luge and diving to the ocean floor. The experiences include movies, games and educational puzzles, too.
And VR Simulators allow people to take part in extreme adrenalin sports such as flying, skydiving, parachuting and rafting.
The Star Twin Seat VR has a vibrational virtual reality with interactive motion senses and the Eagle Flight can make people feel weightless as they fly.
Said Jason: “Some of the platform games are similar to playing Fortnite."
It is hoped that schools and colleges will become involved as the virtual reality experiences could provide an extra learning platform for students.
The Virtual Reality Entertainment Centre opens 10am-7.30pm Monday to Friday, 10am-8pm on Saturdays and 11am-4pm on Sundays and bank holidays.
