Hunstanton resident celebrates 101st birthday




A resident at Driftwood House in Hunstanton celebrated her 101 birthday on November 24.

Doris Weaving celebrated the big day with staff and a visit from her daughter Susie Prendergast.

Care home manager Steph Durham said: "Although Covid-19 restrictions remain in place and following all guidance Doris was still able to enjoy her special day and enjoyed a lovely cake, wines, gifts and many cards.

"The celebrations took place over a few days to allow her to see her sons Colin and Paul too.

When asked "what the secret was to reaching such a great age is", Doris said: "I have no idea really, it has just happened."

Steph said: "Doris wishes to thank each and every one for all her cards, gifts and birthday wishes and she also thanked all the staff for all their love and care. "
