Double double toil and trouble at Downham Market school

Spells, charms and potions were all part of the timetable as Downham Market Academy took a leaf out of Hogwarts’ book last week.
The academy hosted the Harry Potter-themed event for their 17 feeder primary schools at the sixth form site on Friday last week and are due to hold another today.
Head of year seven Scott Wilson, who took on the role of professor Severus Snape for the event, said that pupils could expect lessons in care of magical creatures, herbology, potions, basic spells and charms.
Owls from the Raptor Trust also paid a visit – one of the most popular creatures in the J K Rowling stories.
