Downham Market Academy welcomes Holocaust survivor

Pupils at Downham Market Academy were visited by Holocaust survivor Jane Webber this week, which was organised by the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET).

Janine shared her testimony with the Year 10 students, before a question-and-answer session, to enable them to better understand the nature of the Holocaust and to explore its lesson in more depth.

The visit was part of the HET’s year-round Outreach Programme, which is available to schools across the UK.

Amy Chapman, head of drama at DMA, said it was a “privilege” to welcome Janine, who is pictured above speaking to pupils.
