Downham Methodist Church has celebrated 50 years since their establishment was built with a flower festival at the weekend.
From Friday, July 15 until Sunday, July 17 – which marked exactly half a century since the building was opened – special floral displays brightened up the church.
Church member Maureen Hibling said: “It went very well, there were lots of people coming in to see the displays – old faces and new. There must have been several hundred people coming in through the weekend. Thanks to everyone who supports it.”
There were varied exhibits, with one called The Baptism and another which showed the stone laying of 50 years ago.
