A man from Downham was one of 500 British Heart Foundation (BHF) champions who took to the streets of London on Sunday to conquer the Virgin Money London Marathon.
Shawn Bullivant, 40, raised £3,000 for the charity and completed the course in three hours and 52 minutes.
He said: “Taking part in the London Marathon was a huge challenge and an incredible experience.
“The atmosphere on the day was electric and I was proud to be a BHF champion for such an iconic event.”
Shawn, who is a paramedic, only started running a few years ago.
This was Shawn’s second marathon for the BHF and he took on the iconic challenge because he turned 40 in December and wanted to do one now in case he never does another one again.
