Downham Market pupils learn some Complicité thanks to theatre company workshop




Pupils at Downham Market Academy were thrilled to play host to the famous theatre company Complicité on Monday, donning all black to take part in workshops.

The picture shows Martins Imhangbe, from Complicité, with years 10-13 drama and dance students during the workshop at the school.

Rachael Harris, head of performing art at Downham Market Academy, said the visit was a great chance for pupils to work with the profesional actors of Complicité and gain an amazing insight into the quality of their work.

She said: "It was the first time we had had them here at the school and it was a really big success. We'll probably have them again in the future to support our GCSE and A-level students."

Complicité are a London-based theatre troupe. Learning and engagement are central to its work and its award-winning Creative Learning programme includes professional development, work in schools and colleges and participatory projects for a range of groups.
