Downham’s Town Hall was brightened up by 63 exhibitors for the town’s annual Horticultural Society show on Saturday.
Everything from flowers and fruit to bakery products and photography were on display in the hall, and participants came from as far afield as Diss and Saffron Walden.
Competitions were run for the best of the categories, for which there was 428 entries in total.
Horticultural Society secretary Margaret McCutcheon said: “The exhibits were wonderful. We were very pleased, and everybody said that it was a lovely show as per usual. People came from far away so that was really nice.”

Tony Stacey (six rose exhibit, most points in rose classes, best rose exhibit)
Roy Coughtrey (best sweet pea exhibit, most points in classes 14-31, best exhibit in classes 5-41, best horticultural exhibit, best vegetable collection class 67)
Pam Wakeling (best pot plant exhibit)
Fred Taylor (best fuchsia exhibit)
Tony Mazur (most points in potato classes, most points in classes 42-69)
Marion Dyson (most points in preserves)
Bethany Redhead (most points in bakery, best domestic exhibit in classes 71-92)
Jane Arthur (best exhibit in classes 93-94)
Susan Perkins (most points in craft section)
Wendy Knights (best craft exhibit)
Rebecca Elliott (best art exhibit, most points in classes 116-120)
Maureen Redhead (most points in show, best photograph)
