Downham Market students’ bingo event is a winner

By Lynn News Reporter

Students at Downham Market Academy’s Sixth Form organised a bingo event in aid of a cancer charity last week.

The pupils, who held the event on Thursday, raised funds for Bowel Cancer UK.

Residents from one of the town’s care homes, High Haven, were invited to the sixth form to take part.

Alongside the games of bingo, the afternoon also offered a raffle and refreshments.

They raised £250 with around 100 people attending.

The bingo event followed a fellow pupil’s head shave in aid of Bowel Cancer UK the previous week.
