Generous youngsters at a Downham school have raised thousands of pounds for a children’s hospice.
Downham Preparatory and Montessori School pupils have been busy raising £2,300 for East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH).
Staff and pupils at the school raised the money during a number of events, including the harvest festival, choir singing and the Santa Fun Run in Downham.
School owner Elizabeth Laffeaty-Sharpe said: “It is a good thing for the children to think about others who are less fortunate. This is a local charity and you never know if you might have to spend time there.”
