Hilgay to receive drainage upgrade which will close Lawrence's Lane for three weeks

Works will start later on this month to upgrade the highway surface water drainage system in Hilgay.

This will result in a three week closure of Lawrence's Lane, where the work is due to happen.

The work will begin on Monday, August 22 and temporary diversions will be made going through Stocks Hill, High Street and Church Road.

A one day road closure is also expected to happen along Church Road, opposite Hilgay Riverside Academy.

The county council has thanked road users for their patience while the £25,000 works are carried out.
