King's Lynn Town FC's Walks stadium featured in latest design by London artist
An artist who produces designer prints of UK football stadiums said that his newly-released design for The Walks in Lynn had generated one of the best responses on social media he had ever seen.
Steve Stewart a graphic artist living in London takes suggestions on Twitter on which club, no matter what level, should feature in his next design.
Videographer for Lynn Town FC Bevan Asher put forward the Linnets' stadium in The Walks for Steve to create a unique design.
Said Bevan: "I was really pleased to have the opportunity to put the club on the map. I think the designs are absolutely wonderful and really colourful."
Once Steve receives suggestions, he puts out a poll on Twitter. Steve said: "Lynn was up against Brazil's Santos FC. Lynn won by a landslide and I started work.
"I came to play about a bit with the background and sometimes I need another person to cast an eye over it, so I put on Twitter the two designs, sunrise and sunset, to see what they thought.
"The result was amazing, with one design gaining more support, then the other. Everyone was getting involved – it was a terrific response.
"In the end, I did both. The Walks is the only stadium for which I have created two designs."
Steve also said The Walks was special because of its setting. "I ask for people to send in their photos and details of a stadium. What struck me most of all about The Walks, was the setting. It's beautiful.
"Imagine walking to the ground through a green park, I knew straightaway that I wanted to incorporate it in the design.
"Although the focal point of the design is the stand, there's so much more going on. I particularly liked doing this design because it pushed me. It was fun and challenging. It's certainly in the top five of my favourites." He has drawn more than 200 teams' stadia.
Steve said he hopes to visit the stadium at some point and see The Walks for himself.
