Driver reported to court after 'Christmas miracle' incident




A motorist has been reported to the court having been involved in a single-vehicle collision on the A47 on Christmas Day.

King's Lynn Police posted a picture on social media on December 25 describing the incident as a "Christmas miracle" as all four occupants of the car walked away with minor injuries.

The collision took place at Middleton with police stating it was a stark reminder of why people should not drink and drive.

Lee Anderton, Norfolk Police community engagement officer for Lynn, said: "The driver failed the breath test at the side of the road but was taken to hospital for treatment.

"At hospital the driver failed to provide and has been reported to court for the offence of failing to provide."

The post by King's Lynn Police said: "Let this picture of a vehicle involved in a singe vehicle RTC on the A47 at Middleton serve as a reminder as to why you shouldn't even contemplate drinking and driving.

"The Christmas miracle of this is that all four occupants walked away with minor injuries."
