Case against homeless Cameron Abraham could be proved in his absence in King’s Lynn court
A homeless man who failed to appear in court on Thursday is facing having his case heard in his absence next time.
Cameron Abraham, 21, of no fixed abode, but last known to be in Wymondham, was due to appear at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with being drunk and disorderly in the town on August 8.
However, Katherine Newson, prosecuting, said it was unclear whether he would have received the letter telling him of his court date because there was no address for him.
She asked that the case be adjourned to November 7 when the prosecution will attempt to prove the matter in his absence if he fails to turn up again.
Magistrates agreed to unconditional bail, but questioned how the prosecution was going to notify Abraham of the new date without an address.
