Officials at the RSPCA’s wildlife centre in East Winch opened their doors to the public for an open day on Sunday.
The event was staged as part of the centre’s ongoing campaign to raise funds for 17 new aviaries, which are needed to replace the existing, outdated facilities.
A total of 17 new aviaries, which are likely to cost tens of thousands of pounds, are needed at the centre, which has been caring for sick and injured animals for more than 20 years.
During the day, visitors were able to see seals, orphan birds and hedgehogs being fed.
Younger visitors were able to enjoy a hedgehog trail
Staff also weighed swans which are currently being treated at the hospital, while vets took questions from the public.
