She said: "This year has been hard. I lost my best friend who was only 46, my favourite Uncle and of course Mum. Blasting Johnny Cash through my headphones imagining Mum singing along and raising money keeps me going through all of this. I won't let it stop me raising money. Some days feel tough, but when I get going and think of why I am doing this, it helps."

She said: "I come home and he places it over my head and says 'well done'."
