LEARN MOREThis weekend many will gather in Fakenham to take part in the Easter Sunday fun day and races.
Townsfolk will be out in force with 61 volunteers already signed up to help run the event.
Hoping to make a success of the day, event organiser, Richard Crook, of Active Fakenham, said: “It is a big and complex event to put on and the positive commitment for people to give up some of their Easter Sunday makes the whole thing achievable”.
The town centre will be closed, causing some road closure on Easter Sunday, to make way for a line-up of races for all ages and abilities.
A 1km fun run, 5km UK athletics running race and 1km cycling race around the town centre circuit, are a few events being held.
Mr Crook said: “It has been particularly tough and expensive to organise this year.”
He said there had been additional expenses for crowd barriers.
Active Fakenham won lottery funding to help support their 2022 programme of events, with businesses supporting the event, including Aldiss and supermarkets Tesco and Aldi allowing access to all-day parking.
Spaces are still available if you want to participate in any races, which can be applied for through the Active Fakenham website.
