Paul Harrison, the College of West Anglia’s executive director of finance and resources, stepped down from his day-to-day duties to go back to the floor with the apprentices at Dersingham VA Primary School.
Dersingham VA Primary School is fully supportive of their five CWA apprentices with both intermediate and advanced level students currently gaining qualifications whilst working on the job.
Mr Harrison spent the afternoon helping out with a make-pretend shop, helping pupils to learn the value of money and getting involved in PE lessons as a mature apprentice going back to the floor.
He said: “It’s great to see the apprentices at work and hear such positive comments from the staff about their enthusiasm for the job.
“It’s clear that the children love them.”
