A West Norfolk nursery is celebrating after once again being rated as ‘outstanding’ by education inspectors.
The Phoenix Montessori Nursery in Terrington St Clement has received the highest possible mark from Ofsted – maintaining the high standards which first secured them the grade five years ago.
Following an inspection in April, Ofsted said the nursery was outstanding in meeting the needs of the range of children who attend, contributing to the well-being of the children and the effectiveness of the leadership and management.
In a report, published this week, inspector Deborah Hunt said the children receive a “superb and highly beneficial early years experience”.
She said: “Throughout the nursery, children succeed and do very well. Adults skilfully deliver activities closely aligned to the Montessori ethos, which supports their progress towards the early learning goals.”
The report also said the nursery’s “calm, peaceful ambiance” supports children’s emotional security, and extra activities, such as learning different dances and other languages, opens their eyes to the rich diversity of the world.
The nursery’s Charlene Matthews said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved an outstanding rating again.
“I am extremely proud of the staff in achieving this.”
