Emergency crews called to search for lost dog on West Norfolk coast

Lifeboat crews were called out to track down a runaway dog on a West Norfolk beach yesterday evening.

Coastguard officials were alerted at around 5.30pm on Tuesday to reports that the animal had run away from its owner on Heacham beach and was heading towards Snettisham.

A Hunstanton RNLI spokesman said the dog was caught by local Coastguard crews before being taken back to Heacham on its hovercraft.
