Firefighters from stations in Outwell, West Walton, March and Wisbech attended the blaze, using main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hot spots, with a fire crew stop message received at 10.51pm.

Lynn Police said that crews would stay at the scene for approximately 90 minutes to ensure the fire did not re-ignite, before reopening the road.
