Hunstanton Charity Shop holds major clothing sale to keep fundraising for community projects
A coastal charity shop plans to dramatically slash its prices for a day with hopes of raising money for a number of community projects.
Hunstanton Charity Shop on Westgate Street is hosting a clothes clearance sale on Sunday, November 5 where men's and women’s clothes will all be priced at 50p per item.
Proceeds from the clothing sale will go towards projects in Hunstanton and its surrounding areas.
This year, the charity shop raised £2,000 for Hunstanton Primary School’s Library appeal, £2,266 towards the town’s Northfields Allotments wheelchair-friendly greenhouse as well as £900 towards a portable defibrillator and £800 towards archery equipment for Snettisham Scouts.
Shop manager Angela Green said: “The idea of the sale is to raise much-needed funds to help the shop support local community projects. We have lots of clothing in all sizes, and brands for both ladies and men and just 50p each.
“As a shop we have already helped lots of groups over the 14 years we have been open and we wish to continue doing so. Our small band of volunteers will be on hand to help you if required so we would love to see everyone there to help us raise funds.”
The sale starts at 11am and finishes at 3pm.
