Exciting expansion at The Farmhouse in Fincham as it opens ‘Great Barn’ to host weddings and large events

Excitement is building at a West Norfolk business that can now host events on an even larger scale than before.

The Farmhouse at Fincham has now opened its Great Barn, an event room designed to accommodate more than 60 guests for large-scale events, such as weddings and parties.

It has been a roaring success so far, with three couples already tying the knot at the venue and an RAF meal booked up soon.

The Great Barn joins the restaurant’s little barn for smaller events, both offering “rustic charm”.

Described as a “one-stop shop”, the Farmhouse, located off Lynn Road, also has 41 rooms where people can stay overnight.

The restored Grade II-listed barn, surrounded by countryside, was taken on by its current owners, David Toulson-Burke and Jonathon Baker, in 2020.

“The owners are incredibly excited to offer a bigger venue for couples,” said Victoria Depear, who works at the Farmhouse.

“We had our first wedding showcase in there, where a few couples came along. It sells itself really.

“Our dedicated wedding team offers a personal touch from your first visit to the final toast, helping you craft a celebration that’s effortless and elegant.”

The new Great Barn promises “rustic beauty and warm hospitality”, and is fully licensed for civil ceremonies.

It has a flexible floor plan for dining, a ceremony and entertainment.

Meanwhile, The Farmhouse’s little barn has been described as an ideal setting for “intimate gatherings”. It is the oldest part of The Farmhouse and can be used for smaller weddings.
