Exciting events planned for Downham WordFest Week

New for 2023, Downham WordFest Week is taking place from next Tuesday, September 19 to Sunday 24, with a variety of exciting events planned across the town.

Founded by Sarah Cox from No8 The Old Bookshop, WordFest is a celebration of words, books, prose, poetry and storytelling and will feature something for everyone. Sunday Times Bestselling Author Heidi Swain is the headliner.

Downham WordFest is community-focused with West Norfolk Deaf Association’s charity bookshop No8 working in association with local organisations including Downham Arts UK and Downham Library.

WordFest Week has been made possible by UPP, and several West Norfolk Councillors. Shops, businesses and restaurants in Downham have provided donations of funds and raffle prizes. Downham Town Council has also provided support.
