Exclusive:King's Lynn's Daniella 'OnlyFans has made me love my body after being bullied in school'
Sex sells. And in the worst economic recession in 80 years, some are not surprisingly using the online option to keep their head above water in lockdown.
And that includes the website Only Fans, which has turned the erotic into a lucretive business.
The Lynn News spoke to Daniella Tunmore, 26, a former exotic dancer, from Lynn who is one of the top three per cent earners on Only Fans since starting her page in April.
Daniella can earn anything from £1,500 to £5,000 a month.
She started her business after the strip clubs closed due to lock down as it seemed like a more stable stream of income, fascinatingly the unique businesswoman shows she’s not just a pretty face as she also works as a digger and dump truck driver when she feels like it.
Daniella said: “I don’t ever feel like I’m unable to pay my rent.”
“Only Fans looks very easy from the outside- people think they can just post nudes and earn loads of money, but about 90 percent of the work is advertising.
“Getting to the top three per cent of creators didn’t come easy.”
Daniella is keen to point out that her main selling point isn’t her body, it’s actually her ability to listen to people.
She said:“I do specialist pictures and videos but I allow people to talk no matter the subject. I can even offer a listening ear for those who want to talk about mental health issues they are going through, it’s not just about sex.”
The successful creator may now have thousands of admirers online but it wasn’t always easy for Daniella, who admitted she was bullied for her looks in school:
“I was bullied all the way through high school, and told I was ugly and now I have people calling me beautiful every day online, it has changed the way I see my body and myself and I treat myself a lot better now.”
One Only Fans content creator from Downham, who wishes to remain anonymous has said she applied for over “700 jobs” during the last year and heard nothing back, she turned to Only Fans as a source of income.
She said: “I have worked all of my life and suddenly found myself out of work, I felt depressed applying for jobs I was overqualified for and not even hearing back.
I even applied to work as a cleaner, a carer, anything going and I still was out of work.
I eventually had one interview with a local company and they turned me down, that was the last straw for me.
I knew I had the skill set, and the job was very low paid, my self-esteem was really suffering, so I created my Only Fans account and now I earn £600 a month, it’s not much but it’s keeping me afloat while I build my fan base and hopefully will earn more.”
Daniella and others have warnings for those wishing to join Only Fans, as once content is shared online it remains there and can be seen by millions of people.
Daniella said: “I would say to people thinking about doing it to think very carefully before putting pictures and videos up as once it’s online its there forever. I would say if anyone needs advice or wants to do it they can come to me and I can help them. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made!”
When asked if she gets judged for her work Daniella said: “I get judged a lot less than people think, people are generally more inquisitive about what I do.”
