Emergency services conducted an ‘extensive search’ by land, sea and air last night near King’s Lynn after reports of a person in the water.
A spokesman for HM Coastguard said emergency services were alerted at around 8.30pm last night, April 9, to a report of a person in the water at Stow Bridge.
He said: “Two teams were engaged along with the helicopter and an extensive search was carried out.
“There was a full search by land, air and boat but nothing was found.
“Teams stood down at 12.15am last night.”Inspector Jason Selvarajah, of Norfolk Police, added: “Police received only one report but, working in partnership with Fire Service and Coastguard, conducted a thorough search of the area.”
