Funeral director A J Coggles has expanded it's business to Hunstanton
A J Coggles Family Funeral Directors have announced the opening of their new office, in the former John Lincoln premises, at 40 Greevegate, Hunstanton.
The business, which was established in 1851, from the village of Pentney , opened offices in Lynn, in 1980, Downham in 1991and Wisbech in 2016.
Funeral director John Coggles, who joined the business in 1980, said: "We provide a level of service, care and dignity that is to be expected from a company with such a proud history.
"We view each funeral individually. There are so many options available now. There is a wide range of transport available, as well as traditional hearses. We also offer bespoke Orders of Service to reflect the individual and their lives and interests."
Mr Coggles is joined by sons David and George and daughters ,Helen and Hannah who are the fifth generation to join the family business.
There will also be two new members of staff at the Hunstanton office two RLNI volunteers Roger Smith and Sam Pratt,,a funeral arranger with a wealth of local knowledge.
The business offers more than just funeral arrangements, they are there to support bereaved families during arrangements and also after the funeral.
They said:"Family is at the heart of the business and everything it does, meaning the personalisation and level of care, is second-to-none."
Most of its members of staff have been with the company for many years and are treated as part of the extended family,
David Coggles said: "Being a family business we can offer a more caring individual service and level of help to families at their time of need. With the loss of John Lincoln’s the only independent family funeral directors in Hunstanton, we felt that our family could help offer the same caring service to the local area"
The funeral directors will be opening a bereavement café in Downham offering support, comfort and friendship to local families.
The Coggles family and staff currently run a support service at the Wisbech office on a monthly basis which will be extended to their new office in the former Barclays Bank on Bridge Street in Downham, when it opens in July.
The support service will be called Ne Solus which is Latin for do not be alone.
AJ. Coggles offers, Golden Charter, pre-paid funeral plans which are increasingly popular, allowing customers to specify and pay for their competitively priced funerals in advance, helping taking out the burden to family left behind.
The family and dedicated extended family team provides a 24-hour service, with someone always on hand to help.
