Tour operator One Traveller based in Swaffham beats the odds and returns to full employment
A family-run holiday company based in Swaffham has recently welcomed back its full complement of staff for the first time since lock down.
One Traveller, which specialises in escorted holidays for mature single travellers, had previously been operating with only half of its team due to the coronavirus pandemic all but shutting down the travel and tourism industry.
However, the full 25-strong office-based team are now back at their desks, thanks to the high number of bookings being received for Christmas and 2021.
Owner and director Ian Darkin said: “We have always been a close-knit team here and it was heart-breaking to not have our full complement of staff available since the spring.
"We are delighted that our guests have stuck with us through some pretty challenging times and that they also feel confident to be making travel plans for the future. As a direct result, we are now back up to full strength and ready to start rebuilding people’s travel plans.
"We can now look forward to putting together some fantastic holidays for our guests to enjoy as we emerge from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
“We remain excited for next year’s holidays in the UK and around the world.”
