Farm building blaze drama in West Norfolk village




Several emergency crews were called to tackle a blaze on a West Norfolk farm yesterday evening.

Units from three counties attended the incident in an agricultural building on River Bank, Ten Mile Bank, which was reported shortly after 5pm on Tuesday.

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Lynn and Outwell were sent to the scene, along with units from Ely, Newmarket, Mildenhall and Eye. They spent around three hours at the scene.

Elsewhere, units from Downham and Methwold were despatched to deal with a blaze on open ground in Station Road, West Dereham, which was reported at around 4.40pm.

And another Lynn crew faced a similar incident in Walpole St Andrew, which broke out at around 3.40pm.
